House Passes Bill Against Bad Checks
Jefferson City Mo March 27 A bill drafted by Prosecuting Attorney Schweitzer of St Louis and introduced by Senator Warner makes it a misdemeanor to issue a bad check for past due accounts or other obligations. The House passed the measure today and it moves to the governor. The bill provides that failure to pay may incur a fine and jail sentence.

Wrestlers Stage Marathon Match In Electric Theatre
Last Thursday night Gust Karras of this city and Bill Ganong of Kirksville staged a historic long bout at the Electric Theatre. Spectators from Milan Linneus Purdin North Salem and surrounding areas watched a fast clash lasting over an hour with both men exchanging rapid holds. Referee McCollum kept order as the bout swung between advantage to and from each wrestler, ending with Karras tossing Ganong for the decisive count. They plan a rematch tonight Kum.
