The Lubbock road will be part of International Highway 51 from Regina to deep in Old Mexico. IPHA plans a three way program with six signs, 50 000 brochures, and a speaking drive to promote the route. Open House Sets Scout Area Dedication at Legion Hall
An open house and dedication for the Boy Scout Area at the American Legion Hall is set today from 1 30 to 5 30 pm with National Guard GI School and six Scout troops plus Cub packs and the Explorer post. Dedication rites start at 2 30 pm with H B Virgil Crawford as master of ceremonies and J C Powell presenting the flag to the Scouts. Watermelon will be served and Scout achievements will be displayed as the National Guard Armory GI School and American Legion Hall open for inspection. The three acre site north and west of the main building is fenced and paved, purchased in 1949 for 1800 with a Scout hut built for Troop 74 at about 3500.
