Brownfield Harvest Festival returns with games and crafts
The Brownfield Harvest Festival on October 2 features stage performances, booths with crafts and food, and activities for all ages. A star walk, basketball throw, spiral ride and dunking booth join craft sessions and air painting, face painting, decorating shirts and jeans. Masters of ceremonies include Mike Hamilton, Peggy Seeley and Willie Herrera. the parade begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Terry County Fair entries due as two week countdown begins

Fire destroys two cars in Brownfield area blaze
Sixteen Brownfield volunteer firefighters battled an early Sunday fire on Tohoka Road that damaged two homes and destroyed two cars. Investigators probe the cause as the blaze spread from a carport, with control achieved in about 20 minutes and crews remaining on site for hours. One home suffered smoke damage while the other’s kitchen was heavily damaged.
