County Commissioners Adopt 20 Cent Tax Rate for 1982
The Terry County Commission in regular session set the 1982 county tax rate at 20c per $100 of property value based on 100 percent evaluation. The move follows public concern over a possible higher rate and reflects inflation effects while noting control over appraisal shifts to the new county appraisal board in 1982. Citizens were reminded tax bills go out Oct 1 and are due by Jan 31, 1982 to avoid penalties.
