Plans finalized for 1993 Farm Tour
Rain or shine the 1993 Terry County Farm Tour will depart from the First Baptist Church parking lot at 9 a.m. Thursday Sept. 16. Sponsored by 98 area businesses the tour uses six chartered buses and two Cub buses carrying more than 300 people to preview Terry County crops and view farm homes. Stops include the Billy Barton farm Rand Nieman will discuss his operation and conservation. The Walter King Farm features Young Farmers serving cold drinks and watermelons with talks on cotton water needs. The Outstanding Young Farmer and Outstanding Farmer awards will be presented. The tour ends with a meal in Coleman Terry County Park, rain plan at the Terry County Show Barn. Sponsored by local businesses including American Bank of Commerce Wolfforth and others.
