Brownfield City Council adopts 2005 2006 budget in session
Brownfield City Council unanimously approved the 2005 2006 budget after a brief public hearing with no statements from residents. The plan shows a 15 204 761 bottom line balanced with about 685 000 from undesignated reserves and a 3.5 percent cost of living raise for all employees. Major funds drop slightly from 2004 2005 levels and capital projects are reduced as key renovations wrap up. A second tax rate hearing is set for September 15 with the tax rate to be adopted September 22.
