Four New Oil Wells Staked in Terry County Soon
Four new oil locations were staked in Terry County last week. A shallow wildcat 10 miles east and three south of Brownfield, drilled by FB Skaggs, is No. 1 Brownfield in Section 7. The project resembles a 1929 5,080-foot well. Three other sites include Prentice 6700 and 7200 by Great Western Drilling Co. of Midland and Brit Claire near Section 22 in Block D-14, O&M survey, 320 acres, seven miles from town.

Terry County Commissioners approve a 521,964.25 budget with a 3 1 vote on salaries. The plan raises commissioners pay to 51000 a year plus 1200 road overseer and 300 travel, totaling 5100 monthly.
