Terry schools enrollments rise and fall in BCISD figures

BCISD released enrollment figures for fall 1993 showing 2,571 students district wide, up in high school by 30 to 664, and Intermediate up by four to 416, while total district enrollment declined from 2,633 last fall. Detailed splits cover Brownfield High, Middle, Intermediate, and Oak Grove Elementary with grade tallies and year over year changes.

Old Settlers mark 33rd Terry reunion in August gathering

Terry County Old Settlers held their 33rd reunion at the American Legion Hall drawing about 200 attendees from across the United States. Registration ran 9 to noon with a BBQ by H-Bar-C and a program led by Odell Sears featuring stories from Herbert Chesshire and a medley by Joe Sears. The event recognized the oldest participant Ona Gore aged 93 and Hayden Griffin aged 98 as the oldest woman and man present.
