Raid nets large amount of alcohol
Brownfield police responded to a fight in progress on West Legion Street and learned of a home with a large alcohol stash. A search warrant led to 25 cases of beer 30 bottles of liquor and 65 water bottles refilled with liquor. Gail Yvonne Williams 48 was arrested on possession with intent to sell in a dry county and released on 1000 bond. The investigation continues.

Woman charged with abuse at Lubbock nursing home
Tiffany Cunningham, 26, was arrested in Brownfield after the State Attorney General ordered a Medicaid Fraud Division investigation. She allegedly committed two counts of injury to a disabled person at Bender Terrace Nursing Home on 27th Street, including slapping a resident during a bath.

Brownfield Woman Arrested After Knife Robbery at Local Store
A 30 year old Brownfield resident Sheila Demps is charged with aggravated robbery after she robbed the Phillips 66 Food Mart at 1 a.m. last Friday. She allegedly brandished a knife, forced a clerk into a freezer, and damaged a telephone line before fleeing in a white van. Police tracked the vehicle to a South Fourth Street home where Demps barricaded herself in a bathroom and was subdued after an altercation. She escaped a police vehicle by kicking out a window, was recaptured, and taken to Terry County Jail on a 7500 dollar bond existing Tuesday.
