Brownfield Harvest Festival Celebrates Golden Anniversary Queen
The Brownfield Harvest Festival drew 8000 to 9000 people for its 50th golden anniversary. Linsey Graham was named 1997 Harvest Festival Queen and won a $1000 scholarship, while runner up Tyler Willis earned $800 and won the talent pageant title. Additional scholarships went to Marissa Vela and Natasha Cornett, with a new Nikki Vinson memorial award to benefit a Terry County student. The parade and pageant featured past queens, local clubs, and a Branson trip grand prize won by Harvey Smith. A fireworks finale capped the event.
