Plains ISD Board approves air conditioner renewal and staff moves
Plains Independent School District held a regular meeting on September 14 1981 approving an 83000 air conditioning renewal for the high school and auditorium. The board also approved 1981-82 substitute teachers and Christy Barron for early graduation plans. Bills and financial reports were reviewed and adjournment followed.

Student Council Meeting Sets Plans for 1982 Projects
The Plains Student Council met September 16 1981 at 12 50 PM with President Ginger Nance. Irma Carrillo presented several money making ideas for 1982 and will decide at the next session. They renewed memberships with the National Student Safety Project and the Smile and Score Project. An exchange student Antonio Pizzinicco from Sweden was welcomed by acclamation.
