Brownfield Holiday Home Tour Showcases Five Local Homes

Brownfield Garden Club stages its Christmas Home Tour Thursday from 6 30 to 9 30 PM ending at Brownfield State Bank for refreshments and a door prize. Brownfield Police Report November Arrests and Calls

During the period ending November 27 the Brownfield Police Department logged seven arrests five for public intoxication one for driving without a license and one for a traffic violation. The department filed four offense reports two for disorderly conduct one for criminal mischief and one for burglary of a motor vehicle. Police answered 54 calls for assistance.

Reward offered in strangulation murder case

A $3 890 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons involved in the strangulation death of seventeen year old Dianna Lynn Bryant. Bryant was babysitting at an apartment complex in the 900 block of North A Street when the crime occurred in the early hours of April 26 1981. entry was gained and the victim was killed with no sign of struggle.

Reward Offered for Burglary Information in Curry Co Freight Co Theft

Brownfield Crime Information, Inc. offers 300 dollars for information leading to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for a burglary at Curry Motor Freight Co. on 415 N. 1st. On 11-18-81 eight silver coin filled strong boxes were stolen. A later 300 dollar reward drop was made on 11-25-81 via a crime line informant. The case led to Frank Alvarado’s arrest for burglary at Rex Wilkes farm, where 25 to 30 batteries were taken with police cooperation from Brownfield PD and Terry County Sheriff.
