Commissioners Discuss Runway Allocations
The Terry County Commissioners in a special session learned the Texas Aeronautics Commission has earmarked 100000 for Brownfield Airport runway repairs. The county must apply, show 33000 local funds, hire a consulting engineer, prove zoning and clear ownership, and submit a layout plan. If conditions are met, work could start next summer on runway 20 to handle planes up to 25000 pounds.
