Danner Address Graces Tuesday Calendar In Brownfield
Danner a member of Governor Connallys Education Beyond High School committee will speak Tuesday evening at Brownfield High School auditorium. Sponsored by local civic clubs the school board city council commissioner's court and the Brownfield Chamber of Commerce the public session starts at 7 30 p m. Danner chair of the standards subcommittee is among 25 Texans tapped in 1963 to study higher education. He heads General Telephone Southwest and discusses a 57 page study outlining problems and financing for education beyond high school. Invitations go to educators businessmen and other groups across the South Plains.

Burglary At Brownfield Home Targets Firearms Worth $850
A daytime break in at the Marion Bowers home on Oak Street yielded about $850 in firearms and goods. Access through an unlocked rear kitchen door. listed stolen items include two revolvers, a pistol, a rifle, a radio, jewelry, watches, and a hand woven blanket. Police also report numerous thefts and vandalism in Terry County and arrests connected to irrigation well thefts. Additional incidents include a Texaco Station burglary and a pickup radio theft, with several arrests for theft, drunk driving, and illegal entry by Border Patrol detainees.

Lions Panel Discusses Dues and Education At Brownfield Luncheon
The Brownfield Lions Club held a panel discussion at the Party House during a weekly luncheon. President W. K Lindsey moderated with officers and directors plus Billie Moore Lynn Haamice Craig Wilkerson and others. They voted to tweak dues and meals assessments and announced plans for the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville and a higher education event led by EB Danner.
