Cotton ginning update across Terry and nearby counties
The Terry County TEC tally shows 31,438 bales ginned by Friday noon, with 13,184 bales collected last week. Officials expect most cotton will be stripped this year as projections rise to 135,000 bales countywide, about 23 percent harvested to date. Lynn County reports 18,000 ginned of 129,009 and Yoakum 7,227 from an estimated 34,000.
