Week-Long National Girl Scout Session Scheduled in Philadelphia
Brownfield couple Mr and Mrs Jack Shirley will attend the national Girl Scouts of America convention in Philadelphia November 11 18 as delegates chosen at a Lubbock session. Mrs Shirley chairs District 2 in Caprock Council. he serves on the employed personnel committee. Plans include a patrol-troop encampment with neighboring councils and a stamp certificate system to aid camp fees. The Caprock annual meeting is set for January 14 in Hotel Lubbock with more than 700 volunteers in 34 training sessions this fall.

Cotton harvest gains momentum in Terry county gins
