Two Hurt In Gang Fight In Brownfield Tuesday Night
Two Brownfield youths were badly beaten and a cache of unusual weapons confiscated after a gang fight that started on a Brownfield parking lot and moved to a drive in and farm pens. Injured were Paul Howard and John Ingram, teens at Brownfield General Hospital. Arrested were Jimmie Price Kenneth Smith Lewis Sparkman and David Harold Howard all charged with aggravated assault. Police also confiscated four hatchets a chain metal knuckies and shoes with metal knobs. A beer quantity was found in a car used by the group. Brownfield police chief James Tippit urged parental supervision and youth club involvement to prevent repeats.
