Neugebauer Praises House Passage of Troops Funding and Drought Relief
Congressman Randy Neugebauer hailed House passage of H R 2206 funding troops for the War on Terror and providing drought relief for farmers. The bill allows producers to choose 2005 or 2006 crop loss compensation with crop insurance, set at 42 percent of price, and a 95 percent cap on total relief. An amendment also advances drought aid for livestock and crop losses amid two-year drought. The Senate vote and presidential signing are anticipated.
