Slow start to planting and pest worries in cotton fields

Grand Jury Indicts 11 in Terry County Session
The Terry County Grand Jury handed down 11 indictments this Spring on charges including unauthorized possession of food stamps, various controlled substances, driving while intoxicated, a forged instrument, aggravated sexual assault and burglary of a building. Indicted defendants include Rositara Luna, Justin Rinehart, Thomas Peralez, Ruben Flores, Justin Gamble, Lori Ramirez, Leroy Servantes, and Eddie Rodriguez with bonds ranging from 1,000 to 35,000 dollars. three others face forged instrument or cocaine charges but have not yet been arrested or named.

Faught joins SSB agricultural lending team in Brownfield
Faught, a Texas Tech graduate with degrees in animal science and agricultural business management, will lead agricultural lending at SSB in Brownfield. He has worked with Farmers Home Administration, Production Credit Association, and First National Bank in Hobbs, New Mexico, and grew up on a Gaines County farm. He and his wife Judy, with their two children Breck and Conner, plan to move. Jodie Ogle shifts from day-to-day operations to a consultant role and remains a director.
