Brownfield Volunteers Raise Funds for Booster Truck
Brownfield Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary, acting as a booster club for seven years, raised 15000 through events to finance a 500-gallon W A Neel booster truck, approved by the City Council at a total price of 44287. Chief Marvin Daw son notes the booster will handle small fires and reduce use of pumper trucks. Shipment expected about 90 days after Neel locates a booster in West Texas. The station currently operates a 1962 model.
