The Terry County Sheriff's Department logged four offenses and booked four subjects over a three day span ending May 25. A 1982 Ford pickup near Meadow on U.S.62/82, owned by Miguel Pagan, was burglarized about 10:30 a.m. May 3. Entry was gained through a front vent window and items stolen include a Pioneer Radio, $180, and two speakers worth $60.
The Brownfield High School Class of 1945 plans a summer fifty year reunion. Irene Rieck seeks information on several classmates. A vehicle break in at Allsups store led to a rifle threat and suspect fled. Seven rings and a watch were stolen from a residence north of Brownfield. A sexual assault was reported. Several suspects were booked into Terry County Jail on charges including DWI evading arrest and robbery with bonds set.
Kurt Gibson, son of Dale and Anetta Gibson, is named Booker High School’s 1995 valedictorian. Grandson of Alton and Norma West and the late J B and Nesta Gibson, he leads the Booker Fellowship of Christian Athletes, heads the National Honor Society, edits the yearbook, and played basketball and tennis. He earned the Tandy Award in math and science and the Scholar Pioneer Award from Wayland Baptist University, where he plans to study next year.
