Nunns and Early Watering Holes on the South Plains
The article outlines 1885 onward movements of the Nunn brothers from Scurry County into northern Terry County with headquarters at Rich Lake. It notes a hand dug well, the Bird Mill, and the later L7 Ranch site. The Nunn brand NUN along with JIG and OBR is recorded, plus a drift fence spanning much of Terry County. A 1877 1878 drought and 1900 debt collapse led to losses and transfer of pastures to others.
