Wet roads cause bus wreck near Brownfield on U S 62 385
A Plainview group en route to a Loop track meet escaped serious harm when a 1975 Thomas School Bus rolled on slick pavement a mile south of Brownfield on U S 62 385 at 7 40 a m. The bus carried 16 students and three adults from Plainview Christian Academy. EMTs and local officials treated victims. one student and one adult were transported to Covenant Hospital in Lubbock with unknown injuries. The coach Earl Smith 66 suffered a broken sternum when a shot put ball fell during the crash. All treated and released. Investigation ongoing.
