Auto license tags sellout near deadline for Terry residents
Only two days left for Terry residents to purchase 1961 automobile license plates. The deadline is 5 p.m. Friday at the courthouse office of tax assessor collector J. D. Akers. As of now 3,750 tags have been sold with 85 remaining, with thanks to Brownfield State and First National banks for aiding sales.

Deadline for tag sales ends Friday driving penalties rise
Both parties will continue selling until Friday. Motorists caught on the highway after Friday without 196 license tags face a 20 percent penalty based on the cost of their plates.
Stolen License Plate Holder and Plate Reported
Donald L. Gilley of 601 South Third found his 1956 Oldsmobile missing its license plate and chrome holder with plastic cover when he checked Saturday. Police at Brownfield noted the license tag BY 1833 and a missing security plate part.
