Storms light up sky over Terry County in spring thunderstorm
Brownfield and Terry County saw a one hour storm Wednesday night with lightning and hail. National Weather Service reports placed the storm from 8:06 to about 9:05 p.m. with hail and heavy rain around Brownfield and Highway 385. Rain totals ranged from .2 to 1.18 inches, local rainfall accumulations showed Brownfield reaching 2.81 inches for the year, while power outages were not reported. Local growers noted rainfall totals varying by area.
