Paper n Ink By Lynn Brisendine

An introspective column notes global tension, politics, and daily trivialities amid looming conflict. It muses on world alliances, the U S stance, Maine’s one syllable name, and the media’s 24 7 coverage. The piece riffs on gasps of war, economy, medicine, and curious trivia about faux creamer and peanuts in dynamite. It ponders whether news music prefigures major events, referencing the Columbia disaster and pop songs linked to news moments.
