Cubs roll to tourney title as district race looms
Brownfield improves to 9-4 after a four game win streak capped by a Seminole title. Justin Taylor pitched seven innings in a 7-1 win over Muleshoe, then Johnny Franco and Cip Contreras fueled a 4-2 semifinal victory over Lovington. An electrical issue halted the final, crown awarded by coin flip, as coach Jerry Pyles eyes Friday district opener at Colorado City.
