Brownfield Babe Ruth League Turns 50 in Brownfield
Fifty years after a group met at Nick's Cafe to plan a youth baseball program, Brownfield marks the Babe Ruth League's 1957 start with a field move, donated lights, and support from Terry County. The program, born from local effort, expanded from six PONY and six Little League teams to a Babe Ruth base for 13 to 15 year olds.
