El Nino reflections and school renovation notes contend
A column recalls El Nino's impacts from 1997 floods to drought, praising rain in West Texas while warning of fire risk and shifting weather patterns across the U S. It recounts rainfall, floods, and coastal fish shifts before urging renewed wet seasons for the Carolinas and eastern seaboard as drought lingers. It then shifts to school district notes on a damaged Intermediate School, 1.5 million renovation costs, architect bids, and a May bond election timeline for new facilities and expansion.
