Texas Health Chief urges seniors learn Medicare drug discounts
Texas HHSC Commissioner Albert Hawkins urges senior Texans especially low income to learn about improved Medicare benefits starting June 2004. Medicare endorsed discount cards will be available to all participants for 10 to 25 percent off prescriptions with $600 yearly direct assistance for low income seniors in 2004 and 2005.

Graveside services for Barry Green of Plains were held at Plains Yoakum County Cemetery with Rev. Ray Young officiating. He died Monday at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. Born October 5 1949 in Electra he lived in Meadow and Plains, worked 30 years at Eddins Walcher as branch manager. Survived by wife Jonnie a son Douglas Melissa Escobar a brother Larry and four grandchildren. Preceded in death by sister Gloria Bowman.
