What About
A letter from Mark A Jones recounts a Texas encounter where an elderly widow with a magnifying telephone mistook a 911 call about a repair issue. A maintenance man exposes the mix up by checking the device volume, prompting Mrs. Widowed to realize her mistake and laugh at the misunderstanding. The writer muses on mishearing and everyday communication.
