Long District Court session ends with varied verdicts
District Judge M. C. Ledbetter finished a five day session with twelve cases acted upon. Verdicts were given in four, two were postponed. Cruz pled guilty to driving while intoxicated second offense and received a two year suspended sentence. Parras case dismissed for lack of appearance. Foster found guilty of aggravated assault and sentenced to six months and 500 dollar fine. Rodriguez received fifteen years for assault with intent to murder. Medina found not guilty on narcotics possession. Ingram and Diaz cases postponed due to time.

Boys Go To Hoblitzelle Camp Noblitzelle Outdoor Week
The Salvation Army sponsors seven boys for a full week at Camp Hoblitzelle near Dallas. Attendees include Ronnie Halsell Fidencio Ramirez Daniel Waitman David Diaz Da vid Halsell Carrol Thomson Lindley Gorton with W. Graham Smith as camp chairman. They departed by bus at 10 30 p m Saturday. The camp offers a lake waterskiing fishing boating swimming a gymnasium cabins and organized sports supervised by coaches. Meals are prepared by expert cooks in a dining room. Donations from 100 Texas men and women funded land buildings and improvements.
