Street repairs at 4th and Main in Brownfield continue

The City of Brownfield began repairing the intersection at 4th and Main on Monday and the work will continue through Thursday. Areas of the intersection are closed, so residents are asked to avoid parking in the 400 block of West Main and, if possible, avoid the intersection during repair hours.

CPR Class Set At Brownfield Fire Department Weekend

A CPR class is scheduled for Friday and Saturday June 27 and 28 at the Brownfield Fire Department from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The cost is $20. For more information call Greg Pollard at 637-6618. Museum fundraiser tickets for the July 4 barbecue at Terry County Museum are $5 for museum members and $6 at the door. The Brownfield Fire Department will provide the meat and entertainment.

Glass Menagerie slated three day Brownfield run

The Brownfield Community Theatre opens The Glass Menagerie at 7:30 pm tomorrow at the Intermediate School Auditorium. Ron Hester directs and stars as Tom with Trish Gibson as assistant director. tickets are 5 dollars for adults and 2 dollars for children. The Tennessee Williams drama centers on Amanda Wingfield Tom and Laura with Jim entering their lives and changing everything.

Brownfield sees slight drop in sales tax rebates

The Texas State Comptroller reports June 1992 sales tax rebates total 105.6 million to 934 cities and 105 counties, up 7 percent from 1991. Brownfield received 52,148.69 for June, keeping 1992 year to date at 329,044.31, about 3.09 percent lower than 1991. Other area towns listed include Levelland and Littlefield with year-to-date gains, while Lubbock's June rebate is 1,120,701 with year-to-date details noted on page 4.
