Gypsy scam artists target homeowners after storms in Terry County
Terry County warns residents about door to door gypsy scams offering driveway paving and roofing work after storms. Providers push flawed asphalt, upcharges, and sometimes steal contracts or cash checks. Elderly homeowners are prime targets, often too ashamed to report. See Gypsy Scams Page 4.

BISD summer food program feeds Brownfield kids daily
Brownfield gains a large summer feeding effort led by BISD with 200 to 300 children served daily across parks and schools. Directors Beverly Webb and Weaver coordinate meals for ages one to 18 and visiting or handicapped youngsters, with breakfasts at BHS Oak Grove and lunches at Oak Grove Jake Geron Park and City Park. Parents may eat with their children for a fee while state reimbursement funds the program remains not a profit.
