Texas Country Cleanup to collect recyclable wastes
The Texas Natural Resources Conservation Commission offers rural Texans free disposal of empty pesticide containers used motor oil oil filters tires and lead-acid batteries. Fifteen collection events remain in June and August with five on the South Plains next week. A Brownfield collection is set for June 22 at the Terry County Co-op Gin near Highway 137 and 385. Other South Plains sites include Lamesa Seagraves Amherst and Abernathy on related dates.
