Brownfield Boys Basketball Camp Set to Begin
The Brownfield High School Gym hosts a roundball camp for boys entering grades 3 through 9, starting Monday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon with 7:30 a.m. registration. Camp directed by Paul Hise includes drills in ball handling shooting and dribbling plus team skills. Cost is $30 and includes T shirt prizes and ribbons. For details call 637-4002.

Cooper Natural Resources sponsors a bike a thon for Nikki Vinson, daughter of Joe and Belinda Vinson, diagnosed with leukemia. The June 28 event at Wellman School features four races, youth categories and a 10 mile open race with trophies, ribbons, and refreshments. Entry is $10 with all proceeds to the Vinson family during Nikki’s chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant awaiting.
