Firefighters battle blazes in recent days summary of county fires
County firefighters fought three separate blazes in four days with no injuries. A Friday morning fire near Brownfield damaged a Chevrolet pickup after smoke from an air conditioning vent prompted the driver to pull over. Attic fire near Gomez caused by overloaded wires was contained with little damage.
