Yoakum HD Council Convenes
Yoakum County Home Demonstration Council met June 3 in the clubroom with Mrs. Tom Box presiding in the absence of Mrs. Rowe Stephens. All three clubs were represented. Lois Greathouse will present a program at 2 p.m. June 19. Delegates elected to the state THDA meeting September 23 through 25 at Abilene were Mrs. Tom Box, Miss Velma Dearing and Miss Edna Chambliss.

Burns and Decker Wed in Calvary Baptist Ceremony
Miss Beverly Jan Burns and Andy Royce Decker wed at 7 p.m. Friday in Calvary Baptist Church Hillsboro. The couple’s families attended as Rev. Derrell Monday officiated. The bride wore satin and lace with a pearl neckline and carried a white rose bouquet. The couple plans to reside at Careyville Trail Park after a honeymoon in Ruidoso.
