Perry outlines Trans-Texas Corridor to boost rural Texas
Gov. Perry backs transporting desalinated Gulf water to other Texas regions via the corridor. He says the plan will spur rural economic growth, improve water use and infrastructure, and deliver new opportunities for oil, gas, and products to markets. He contrasts it with pay-as-you-go roads and cites technology and financing as keys. The proposal appears in the context of his gubernatorial run against Tony Sanchez.
