House Ag Committee Keeps In Place Key Farm Programs
The House Agriculture Committee approved the 2007 Farm Bill preserving core 2002 Farm Bill programs including direct payments counter cyclical payments and the marketing loan while adding AGI based eligibility limits and reduced overall payment caps. The bill also covers conservation nutrition research and rural development and faces a possible House floor vote next week.
