Crop certification deadline nears in Terry County
Farmers face a July 17 deadline for certifying spring seeded crops at the Farm Service Agency. County director Danny Decker notes most crops except small grains and fall planted crops require certification to keep loan eligibility. With about 500 farms still uncertified, a register will allow late filings if crops remain, though penalties apply for late acreage determinations.
