Brownfield Council splits vote on Spit and Whittle event
Brownfield City Council debated a one time special variance for the Spit and Whittle Days to hold July 12 13 with hours 9 a.m. to 10 30 p.m. Saturday and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Spokesman Randy Beasley defended plans while safety and weather concerns were raised by several members. A motion to limit the event to Saturday only was proposed and discussed.
