Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect in Brownfield

Remarkable Viet Nam hero honored at Texas Press event
Roy Benavidez, a retired Master Sergeant, was named Outstanding Texan of the Year at the Texas Press Association Convention in Fort Worth. In 1968 he led a helicopter rescue in Vietnam, saved a 12 man Special Forces team, and was wounded while guiding the evac. His actions are described as superhuman and exemplify dedication to duty.
