The Brownfield area sheriff department logged a series of calls including an escort for an ambulance to Lubbock with fears of interference, a 9-1-1 hang up blamed on weather, a reckless driver report unresolved, a drunken driving arrest by Brownfield Police, a near vehicular assault report at FM 211 and U.S. 62/82, a civil dispute over a $190 purchase of a microwave TV and jacket, and multiple control burn notices.

Terry County FSA office invites farmers affected by the May and June 2004 weather disasters to apply for emergency loans up to 80 percent of documented losses or operating costs. Obituary for Joe Marion Brown of Lubbock
Joe Marion Brown 70 of Lubbock died January 20 at Covenant Medical Center. Born June 30 1934 in Brownfield he owned Greenhut Grill and Joe's Cafe with his wife, earned a Texas Tech masters, and retired as a Lubbock ISD teacher. Survived by ShirleyAnn Chadwick Brown three daughters six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Memorials to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital.
