Jury in 12st Judicial Court convicts Billy Ray Fullbright of voluntary manslaughter for the January 22 stabbing of his brother Odell after a day of testimony. Trial ends in acquittal in attempted rape case
The district court in Judge Ledbetter's court tried murder, rape, and burglary cases this week. Andrew Cortez faced an attempted rape charge from last August and was acquitted by a jury after over two hours of deliberation. District Attorney Bill Boedecker led the prosecution with Bill McGowan II representing the defense.
