George Cox 60, operator of City Fruit Market, died Friday at Methodist Hospital, Lubbock after a short illness. Services were held Saturday at 7 p m in Memorial Chapel Brownfield Funeral Home with Cecil Hill officiating. Burial in Terry County Memorial Cemetery. A Brownfield resident since 1958 he previously lived in Holwfield. Survivors include wife three sons Jerry George Sammy all of Brownfield two daughters Patsy Price Seagraves and Peggy Holly Lubbock one brother Garland Cox Plainview four sisters Dorothy Hamlin Amarillo Ethel Bevell California Clara Davis Truth or Consequences N M Lucille Kleiber Truth or Consequences N M and eight grandchildren.
