Prentice Field Adds New Locations in Terry County
Two completions and three new locations were made in the Prentice field of northwestern Terry county last week. Mud and sulphur water were recovered on Grillstein test at Anderson-Prichard No. 1 F Oi Development, northwest Welham-Devonian pool. Drilling continued below 6,288 feet with flowing bottomhole pressures recorded and 1,830 pounds shut-in. New stake locations include Prentice-6700 Honolulu Wo. 12 Ella Covington and 680 feet from south line in Section 21, plus 320 acres on the CMRR survey north of Tokio.

Final Poll Tax Payment Rush Expected Tues
County tax assessor-collector Don Cates warns of a late rush to buy 1956 poll taxes with the deadline near. About 2,700 have been paid so far, slightly above last year and near four years ago. Offices and two bank booths will stay open, with an expected surge Monday and Tuesday. Women should note poll tax payment does not exempt jury duty. Terry County cars plates go on sale February 1 starting at 6000 series.

City Buys Water Rights To 915 Acres South of Town
Brownfield city council completed a decade long effort to secure water resources by purchasing 915 acres south of town for 26 800 with water rights. The tracts lie about two miles south and total 205 1 2 acres. Mayor Primm said the city now has doubled its water resources. Election set for March 13 on contracting with the Canadian River Water Authority to buy water at up to 22 cents per gallon delivered to city gates.

Church Plans New Educational Wing at First Presbyterian
The First Presbyterian Church moves to start building a new educational wing after a Monday meeting led by Bruce Zorns. Rev. Ralph Oeil, pastors and committee members including J. M. Teague A. Payroll figures show the 770TH unit paid out over 22 thousand dollars as 69 men attended training and service schools in 1965.
