Jury delivers guilty verdict in Fullbright robbery case

The 121st Judicial District Court returned a guilty verdict against Billy Ray Fullbright on an aggravated robbery indictment after a brief deliberation by a 12 member jury. Judge Ledbetter set a pre sentence investigation and scheduled punishment for February 6. Joel Villarreal testified about the October 14 1974 incident.

McCaleb Guilty of Theft Jury Rules

Jaycee Banquet Set for Brownfield on Thursday

The Brownfield Jaycees annual banquet will be held at 7 30 p m Thursday January 23 in Brownfield High dining commons. Dennis McGill of Lubbock attorney will speak and be honored as Outstanding Young Man of Lubbock 1972 73 and among Outstanding Young Texans 1973. The event will name Terry County Outstanding Jaycee and Jaycee ettes with Bill McGowan II as emcee. Tickets 5. Open to the public.

Johnson Receives Promotion at Brownfield State Bank

Eddie Johnson of 1721 East Tate promoted Tuesday from assistant trust officer to vice president and assistant trust officer at Brownfield State Bank and Trust Company. He joined the bank three years ago, previously serving as assistant trust officer since May 1973 and loan officer before that.

Alaska Visit Reveals Multi-level Glass House Tour

Mr and Mrs George Steele visited Alaska during summer travel to Anchorage and Valdez. They toured the Owen Meals house on a hill above the bay, noted for its glass walls and five levels connected by ramps. The Meals owner hoped visitors would see it as a tourist attraction and asked staff to use discretion in inviting guests. Brownfield details hint at the Steeles origin as they spoke with Mrs Mears about family roots near Plains.
