Wildcats stars LaBadie and Golden named to Six-Man All South Plains
Kurtis LaBadie and Cory Golden of Wellman High were named to the Six-Man All South Plains Football team. LaBadie starred on defense with 11.7 tackles per game, two fumbles recovered, one returned for a TD, and an interception, plus 409 rushing yards and 13 TDs as a tailback. Golden, at center, helped the leading rushing offense, paving the way for Francisco Franco’s 1,881 yards and 34 TDs as Wellman went 11-1 and 10-0 in the regular season before playoff exits.
