Editor notes week of February twenty third to twenty eighth list daily meals. Monday features pork and beans with wieners and cream sauce. Tuesday fried chicken with creamed potatoes. Wednesday frito pie and pinto beans. Thursday baked ham with candied sweet potatoes. Each day includes fruit or salad, bread, butter and milk.
Anti Memoirs by Malraux Donated to Library
The work Anti-Memoirs by Andre Malraux is highlighted as a major literary and historic document of this century. It has been donated to Kendrick Memorial Library in memory of Judge George W. Neil by Mr and Mrs J L Hamilton.

Dr Jones Named Director of Tuberculosis Control Region VI
Dr. John P. Jones assumes duties as director of Region VI Tuberculosis Control, Texas State Department, with offices at East Texas Tuberculosis Hospital. About 20 staff including nurses and investigators will serve the region. A new building and outpatient clinic will be constructed. Jones holds an MPH from UNC 1968 and an MD from Southwestern Medical School 1957. He lives in Tyler with wife and three children.

West Texas Press Association invites high school seniors to apply for the $800 scholarship contest with a May 15 winner announcement. Applications due April 15 to John H. The plan supports four years of college funding contingent on academics.

Brownfield School Menus For Week Of Feb Twenty Four
Editor notes the Brownfield School cafeterias will serve multiple daily meals during the week of February 24 to 28. Menus include meatballs and spaghetti with sides, chili dogs, turkey and dressing, Weiners and cheese, and Friday roast beef with brown gravy. Desserts feature cobbler, beatnik cake, Jello, and pineapple salad. Milk and bread accompany each meal.

Mrs. Alva Goldston Rites Held in Denver City
Funeral services for Mrs. Alva Goldston 80 were conducted at Trinity Baptist Church in Denver City with burial at Terry County Memorial Park. She died Thursday in a Lubbock hospital after a fall. Survivors include seven sons and seven daughters across several Texas states plus 36 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

WWI Auxiliary II Reorganized at American Legion Hall
Veterans of World War I reactivated the Parracks 2495 auxiliary during a Wednesday meeting at the American Legion Hall. Mrs. Sammie Miller was elected president with Mrs. C C Tucker as senior vice president and Mrs. Carl Russell as secretary treasurer. Mary Forrest installed as officer, with guests from Lubbock including Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schwarz and G B Forrest. The next meeting is set for March 15 at 2 30 p.m.
